Juventus should not sell Gianluigi Buffon

Juventus could suffer if they decide to sell goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon at the end of the season, says former coach Marcello Lippi.
Buffon’s future has been the subject of speculation with his place in the first team under threat from Marco Storari.
Roma and Manchester City are said to be interested in the services of the 33-year-old and there are reports in the Italian media that Juve could sell the Italy international.
However, former Juventus coach Lippi, who led the Italian national team to World Cup triumph in 2006, believes his old club must not part company with Buffon.
“You should not sell champions when you have them at your disposal,” said Lippi, according to Eurosport.
“I have nothing against Marco Storari, who is an excellent player, but I do hope that Buffon remains. Juventus need him because great players like him are always required.”
Buffon has struggled with injury since the World Cup in South Africa last summer but started in goal for Juventus in their goalless draw with Fiorentina in Serie A at the weekend.
